May - Mimi had her kittens on the 24th and 25th of March, 4 were born, sadly one little girl died after only 2 days. So we're left with 2 boys and a girl. It's hard to believe they are 6 weeks old already! The're really fun now, they're very busy, exploring and playing with each other as well as with the toys that I've given them. We've decided to keep the girl here.
As much joy as we've had with kittens we lost Nissa to Hepatic Lipidosis on the 9th of April. She is missed, but we know that she's waiting for us with Tycho and Pipi.
Back to better news, we are expecting a baby, due date is the 1st of September. We are also expecting puppies from Lina and Actros around the 21st of May. Yes, it's going to be hectic .

February - It's 2009 already!!! I have been so busy, the months have flown by. Jürgen and I got married on the 8th of November, we went on a short honeymoon, were home for 2 weeks and then went to Germay for a month over christmas! We've had a wonderful few months and now things are slowly returning to normal. We sent Mimi to DK Elkington's Ghandi for a mating, she tricked us into thinking she was pregnant, unfortunately she wasn't so we sent her again a few weeks ago and now we're waiting to see if she is this time. Not much other news right now.
August - We have had a very busy few months doing alterations on the house so things are not very up to date. I have been working very hard on other peoples websites, but have not seemed to able to get to my own, even this is a very incomplete update. We took Mimi to visit Foxwoods Womble for mating even though she wasn't really calling - we needed to mate her then or wait until November. As it often happens with best laid plans...no mating happened and so we will wait until the middle of November. Mimi has been going to shows and as always has done very well, being nominated for best in show at almost all the shows she's been in. At the last show she was awarded CC's in all her classes and is now a Grand Champion, requiring one more CC to become a Supreme! I hope to have time for a more complete site update with some new images soon.
May - We are thrilled, proud and overwhelmed!! Mimi went to her
first show as an adult on the 10th of May, not only did she become
a champion, but she went on to win best Best Adult on Show as well
as Best in Show!! As far as we have been able to find out, she is
the first Norwegian Forest Cat in South Africa to have achieved a
Best in Show win!
April - Wow! Time has flown by!! As you may have seen our new girl has indeed come to to us. We are happy with Mimi (Zihuatanejo's Jade Jacarero) everyday. She is special in every way and we will always be grateful to Renate for letting her share our lives. We have been very busy with a litter of puppies as well as the start of the cat show season. In a few weeks time we'll be getting very busy with dog shows and dog sport too!
October - The house is finally in order! The electric
fencing is up. It looks a little different to the pictures below
now, but I havn't gotten around to taking new ones. Our new baby
was indeed born! We are so happy and excited, she is a very special
and beautiful girl, I know she will add alot to the lines we have
here. We went to visit her in September and she was everything we
had hoped for and more! She is due to arrive in the middle of November!
July - We believe our new kitten has been born!
Now we will hold thumbs that she is everything that she promises
to be. We are very busy at the moment getting organised for our move
to our new home, but everything is falling into place.
June - At the moment we are waiting for our news
about our new kitten. As soon as we have information about her we'll
post it here.
May - We have bought a new house and will be moving at the beginning of August. The new house has a huge garden, a lot more space than the cats have ever had. There are some changes that we will be making to the house, inside and out, including a new front wall/fence higher than the one that's there at the monent. We will have electric fencing around the entire garden, as we do now.
