We have no kittens at the moment.

Mimi (SP CH Zihuatanejo's Jade Jacarero - IMP) has been mated to DK Elkington's Ghandi (IMP)

This is a repeat mating of our A litter. If Mimi is pregnant, the kittens should be born in the middle of October 2010.

We are planning a litter with Raela Abracadabra too.

Should you be interested in a kitten please contact us.

 * Please read this article by Paula Swepston about why it's so important to keep your kittens/cats indoors or confined to your own garden.

* Please read this article by Barbara C. French about the reasons why we do not let our kittens go to their new homes before 12 weeks of age.

Our kitten policy:

  • All kittens are raised in our lounge and in my office, underfoot at the centre of our home. So they are very well socialised, used to other cats & dogs,
  • All kittens are registered with The Southern Africa Cat Council (SACC),
  • All kittens are vaccinated against the common Feline diseases of Rhinotracheitis, Calicivirus, and Panlukopenia,
  • Will have been treated for parasites, like fleas and worms,
  • Will have been spayed or neutered between 10 - 12 weeks of age,
  • Will be micro-chipped.
  • Our kittens do not leave our home before the age of 12 weeks. Please read this article by Barbara C. French about the reasons why.
  • We do not sell our kittens to owners who plan to let them go outdoors unsupervised. When you choose to buy a cat you become responsible for its well-being and safety. If you let your pet wander outdoors on its own you run the risk of it contracting a serious disease, disability or premature death. Rather take your furry friend for a walk using a harness specifically designed for cats, or enclose your garden with an electric fence, that way, both you and your pets will be safe. Please read this article by Paula Swepston about why it's so important to keep your kittens/cats indoors or confined to your own garden.

Raela Kittens leave us for their new homes with:

  • A folder containing information about the breed,
  • How to care for your new family member, including information about the type of foods they are used to eating,
  • Samples of these foods,
  • Certified Pedigree from The SACC,
  • Their Vaccination Certificate,
  • Information about showing your kitten (if applicable),
  • A couple of their favourite toys,
  • A cage blanket or a cuddly rug,
  • Lots of pictures of your kitten from birth until the time they leave us and
  • Our assurance that we can be contacted any time for help or information about your kitten.

Please Note: Just because you enquire about an available kitten does not mean you will automatically be allowed to purchase one. We care deeply about our kittens & if we do not feel the home is suitable we will reserve the right to refuse someone wanting one of our babies.

We do not sell kittens over the internet. We want to meet the people wanting one of our babies. Because not all our buyers are from Cape Town, we do understand that it is not always feasible to meet everyone in person. In this case we require that we have communication with the person wishing to adopt one of our babies via email & telephonically.

We will have to ask potential buyers a few questions, so please do not feel offended, it's not a personal matter, but we are determined to find each kitten the best home possible. So that all the people and animals in the environment are compatible for the next 10 to 15 years...if not longer.
