more about each dog.
Jürgen has had Dobermann's for many years and has been breeding them since 1987. I got my first Dobermann (Leia) in January 2005 and my second (Tycho) in October 2005. Unfortunately I had to re-home Leia in April 2007, she is a wonderful dog, but she did not adjust well to our new circumstances, she is much happier in her new home where she is the centre of attention. We spend a lot of time with our dogs; we walk them everyday, train them and show them at selected shows.
Actros is 4 years old. He is a true "gentle giant". Actros doesn't have a mean bone in his body he is extremely well behaved and loves to lick the cats; they don't mind the attention at all, but like all cats only when they want it.
Irie is a grand-daughter of Actros of our old bitch Pipi, she is a sweet and very intelligent girl. I am planning to show her as well as work her and hope she does well in both. She is still very excited by the cats and is very interested in them. I have no doubt when they get sick of her they will let her knpw her place.
Bjork is a daughter of Actros. She is a lovely girl, we thought she was a handfull until Irie came along. She is also still more excited by the cats, but not as in their faces as Irie is. I expect they will all work it out and fit into their places. Jürgen will be showing and working her, we hope she'll do well too.
It was with a broken heart that we had to send Tycho back to heaven on the 15th of January 2008. Tycho had a cancerous tumor behind his eye, even after he had his eye removed it progressed very fast and rather than let him live in pain we chose to let him go. Tiger was an angel, he came to me at the hardest time of my life, he was my shoulder to cry on, my constant companion and my friend. He led me joy and happiness, for that I will be eternally grateful. Tiger has done what he was sent here for, now he's gone to be an angel for someone else who needs him.
Even though our dogs are used to our cats and vice versa we have a special area of the garden that is a dog free zone. The cats have access to the house and their garden where they can not be irritated by the dogs (and their food is safe!).
